Es hätte alles so schön sein können: Juwel stehlen, Iwatsume erpressen, zehn Millionen Yen kassieren und ihm eine Fälschung unterjubeln. Blöd nur, dass Takafumi sich verwählt und in der Detektei Mouri anruft, in der Conan das Telefonat entgegennimmt und die Situation sofort durchschaut.

Seine Stimme klingt exakt wie die Heijis, nur spricht er ohne Osaka-Dialekt, was zunächst für Verwirrung bei Conan sorgt. Zudem ist er Mitglied im Yoko-Okino-Fanclub und stolzer Besitzer eines auf 200 Exemplare limitierten Weckers mit Yoko-Figur, die den Schlafenden jeden Morgen mit Yokos hinreißender Stimme weckt.
