Nach ihrem Schulabschluss trudelt Megumi bei Keiichi und Belldandy ein - sie ist Keiichis jüngere Schwester und wurde am Nekomi-Institut für Technologie als Studentin angenommen. Sie wählte dieses Studium im Hinblick auf ihr Interesse an Technik, womit sie mit Skuld etwas gemeinsam hat. Megumi ist außerdem eine sehr erfahrende Mechanikerin und talentierte Motorradfahrerin.

Als sie zum ersten Mal Belldandy sieht, traut sie ihren Augen kaum, dass so ein schönes Mädchen sich mit Keiichi abgeben würde. Schnell freundet sie sich aber mit Belldandy und ihren Schwestern an. Megumi gibt Belldandy in Bezug auf Keiichi gerne nette Tipps.
