Shinichirous Mutter glaubt, dass das was sie für richtig hält, auch automatisch das Beste für ihren Sohn ist. So versucht sie immer wieder ihm ihren Willen aufzuzwingen und nimmt dabei keine Rücksicht auf das was er möchte. Aufgrund dieser Verhaltensweise hat sich Shinichirou von ihr distanziert und meidet Gespräche mit ihr.

Den Frust, der dadurch ensteht, bekommt immer wieder die unschuldige Hiromi zu spüren und allgemein zeigt sie ihr gegenüber immer eine ablehnende Haltung. Auch ist ihr jedes Mittel recht, um dafür zu sorgen, dass sich Hiromi und Shinichirou nicht näher kommen, als sie es für richtig hält.
