Tomoyo Kurobe ist Hiromis beste Freundin. Beide sind Mitglieder des Basketballclubs ihrer Schule und trainieren mehrmals in der Woche. Auch tragen sie immer wieder Spiele gegen andere Basketballteams aus. Tomoyo trägt in ihrer Mannschaft stets die Nummer Neun und Hiromi die Nummer Sechs.

Tomoyo ist der festen Überzeugung, dass Hiromi in Shinichirou verliebt ist und ermutigt sie immer wieder den nächsten Schritt zu wagen. Hiromi leugnet allerdings immer, dass sie Gefühle für ihn hat.
