Akane ist eine Schülerin der Klasse 3-2. Sie ist Mitglied im Volleyballklub der Schule und gut mit Eri Taki befreundet. Gemeinsam mit ihr freut sie sich zu Beginn des Schuljahres, dass Sawako ihre neue Klassenlehrerin ist. Nach ihrem Abschluss möchte sie gerne Kosmetikerin werden und hat sich bereits über Kosmetikfachschulen informiert.

Im Klassenraum sitzt sie in der sechsten Reihe, auf dem zweiten Platz vom Fenster, direkt hinter ihrer Freundin Eri. Ihre beiden Sitznachbarn sind Nodoka Manabe und Shizuka Kinoshita.
