Shouji Satou ist Schüler der 92. Schülergeneration der Elitekochschule Teehaus Toutsuki und Bewohner vom Wohnheim Polarstern. Er hat auch ein sehr raues Erscheinungsbild; doch der Schein trübt: In Wahrheit ist er seinen Mitbewohnern gegenüber äußerst loyal und nimmt sie vor anderen Schüler in Schutz. Er unterstützt sie von außen, wenn sie in einem Wettkampf sind.

Man sieht ihn oft mit Daigo Aoki kämpfen oder streiten. Doch auch wenn er sich oft mit Daigo streitet, sind sie eigentlich immer beieinander. Des Weiteren ärgert er sehr gern Zenji Marui und benutzt sein Zimmer – zusammen mit Daigo – als Partylocation.

Er hat zwar keinen speziellen Kochstil, ist aber kompetent genug, um sich in Toutsuki zu halten – obwohl die Anforderungen sehr hoch sind.
