Touko lebt mit ihrem Mann Shigeru und Takashi Natsume zusammen. Sie und Shigeru haben sich als Verwandte von Natsume seiner angenommen, nachdem dessen Eltern verstorben sind.
Touko ist sehr bemüht um Natsume und versucht stets, es ihm so gut wie nur möglich gehen zu lassen. Sie ist mitunter um ihn besorgt, auch weil Natsume sich etwas verschlossen ihr gegenüber verhält, da er Touko nicht wissen lassen will, dass er Geister sehen kann. Touko selbst ist gastfreundlich und stets liebenswürdig.
