Adroc Thurston ist der Vater von Renton und als Forscher für das Militär tätig, von dem er als Held gefeiert wird. Er ist der Entwickler des »Ageha Plans« und hatte die Leitung über das Experiment, das das so genannte Seven-Swell-Phänomen hervorrief. Aber bei diesem Experiment ging etwas schief und beim Versuch schlimmeres zu vermeiden, verschwand Adroc plötzlich und wurde nie wieder gesehen. Später wurde er vom Militär für Tod erklärt.
