Lottie ist mit ihren erst vier Jahren die jüngste Schülerin im Internat und fängt schnell an zu weinen. Sie findet in Sara eine Ersatzmutter, da ihre leibliche Mutter gestorben ist. Lottie nennt Sara deshalb auch immer »Mama Sara«.
Anfangs fällt sie durch ihre Wutanfälle auf, was sich nach den Erscheinen von Sara aber ändert. Auch nachdem Sara arm wird, bleibt Lottie stets auf ihrer Seite und erweist sich als treue Begleitern. Meistens ist sie mit Ermengard zusammen.
