Takeo Ooshita war Vorsitzender und Chefredakteur der Zeitung »Shuukan News« (週刊NEWS).
Er wird von einem seiner Mitarbeiter erstochen in den Räumen der Redaktion aufgefunden. Erste Untersuchungen ergeben, dass Ooshita von seinem Mörder überrascht wurde, als er an einem Feiertag in den Redaktionsräumen eine Pizza gegessen und ferngesehen hat. Tatverdächtig sind seine Angestellten Tsuyoshi Kitano, Junpei Minamisawa, Eiko Nishizaki und Naoya Higashida.
