Franz war ein junger Arzt, der Éclair vor vielen Jahrzehnten dabei half sich von einer Verletzung zu erholen.

Es wird angedeutet, dass Franz und Éclair aneinander interessiert waren, es jedoch nie zu einer Beziehung zwischen den beiden kam. Er versprach Éclair und Lumière immer für sie da zu sein und baute daher eine geheime, unterirdische medizinische Einrichtung unter seinem Krankenhaus, in der Hoffnung, dass die beiden in der Lage sein würden diese noch viele Jahre später zu finden.
