Will Powers arbeitet als Schauspieler bei den Global Studios. Seine erste Rolle ist die des »Steel Samurai« in der Serie »The Steel Samurai: Warrior of Neo Olde Tokyo«. Im Mordfall Jack Hammer ist er der Hauptverdächtige, weil die Mordwaffe, ein Speer, zum Kostüm des Steel Samurais gehört und niemand anderes zu der Zeit Zutritt zum Tatort hatte. Obwohl Will beteuert zur Tatzeit geschlafen zu haben, hat er kein Alibi und alle Beweise sprechen gegen ihn.
Trotz seines groben Aussehens, ist Will gutherzig und freundlich, aber auch ziemlich pessimistisch. Immer wenn er in der Öffentlichkeit auftritt, trägt er eine Maske um sein Gesicht zu verbergen, da er, wie er selbst sagt, die Träume der Kinder nicht zerstören möchte.

Die wahre Mörderin ist die Produzentin Dee Vasquez, die ihn aus Notwehr tötete.
Sie hatte Jack Hammer seit einem Unfall vor fünf Jahren erpresst, bis er beschloss sie deshalb endgültig zu beseitigen und den Mord auf Will zu schieben. Allerdings konnte sie stattdessen ihn töten und versuchte danach ebenfalls Will als Täter darzustellen.
