Gregory Edgeworth ist der verstorbene Vater von Staatsanwalt Miles Edgeworth. Er arbeitete als sehr talentierter Rechtsanwalt und wurde von seinem Sohn, der einmal genauso sein wollte wie er, verehrt.

Er wies dem Staatsanwalt Manfred von Karma das Fälschen von Beweismitteln nach, was der einzige Fehler in dessen perfekter Karriere war. Noch am selben Tag wurde Gregory von einem Unbekannten ermordet. Dieser Mordfall, der erst 15 Jahre später aufgeklärt wurde, ging als DL-6 Incident in die Geschichte ein.

Ermordet wurde Gregory von Manfred, der ihm das, was vor Gericht geschehen ist, nicht verzeihen konnte.
