Als vielbeschäftigte Geschäftsfrau hat Kotoe Amano nur selten Zeit für ihre Tochter weswegen diese die meiste Zeit in Akiras Wohnung verbringt. Er ist der jüngste Halbbruder ihrer Mutter und damit Misaos Großonkel, obwohl er jünger ist als Kotoe selbst - sie gab ihm eine Wohnung in dem Apartment-Komplex direkt hinter ihrem Haus, der ihrer Familie gehört, sähe es aber gern, wenn er endlich heiraten und auf eigenen Füßen stehen würde. Von seinem Lolicon-Fetisch weiß sie offenbar nichts, denn dann hätte sie sicher etwas dagegen, dass Misao ständig bei ihm herumhängt.
