Cartoz ist der Prinz des galaktischen Königreiches Baroz und kommt in diplomatischer Mission auf die Erde, um mit der Prinzessin des Devilukeschen Reiches Lala Satalin Deviluke Kontakte zu pflegen. Er ist wohlsituiert und gibt für seine Gäste erstmal einen fürstlichen Empfang, doch insgeheim ist Cartoz aus anderen Gründen zur Erde gekommen. Er ist nämlich ein Riesen-Jagd-Fan und möchte in der unberührten Natur der Erde seinem Hobby nachgehen. Natürlich lädt er bei dieser Gelegenheit Lala und ihren Verlobten Rito Yuuki gleich mit ein ihm dabei Gesellschaft zu leisten.
