Mitsuki Unabara ist der Enkel vom Schulleiter der Tokiwadai-Mädchenschule. Er ist ein sehr hilfsbereiter und höflicher Junge, der sich zum Ziel gemacht hat, das Herz seiner geliebten Misaka zu erobern. Doch diese weist ihn ständig zurück und bezeichnet ihn obendrein noch als Stalker, da sie diese ständige Verfolgung als lästig empfindet.

Doch ist dies nicht der wahre Mitsuki Unabara, sondern ein Magier namens Quetzal, der die Gestalt Mitsukis annahm, um Touma und seine Freunde zu töten.
