Schon seit ihrer Kindheit sind Konami Hatano und Takumi Kaizu miteinander befreundet. Im Gegensatz zu ihrer besten Freundin Shino Ebizuka ist sie eher schüchtern und zurückhaltend, besitzt demgegenüber aber eine sehr hilfsbereite Persönlichkeit, die sogar soweit geht, dass sie jeden Morgen extra Takumi und seine Stiefschwester Sana besuchen kommt und ihnen das Frühstück zubereitet. Ihren Freund Takumi mag sie sehr und man könnte spekulieren, ob sie eventuell sogar mehr für ihn empfindet, als ihm bewusst ist. Eine ihrer großen Leidenschaften ist des Weiteren das Sammeln von Seemöwen-Produkten in jeglicher Form.
