Benten ist ein echter Wildfang und eine von Lums alten Schulfreundinnen. Sie fähr..fliegt auf einem Motorrad und besitzt eine gewisse Affinität für Feuerwaffen. Einmal im Jahr treten ihr und der Klan der Oni, dem Lum angehört, gegeneinander in einem sportlichen Wettkampf an.

Sie ist nach Benzaiten (弁財天女, wörtlich: „Himmelsgöttin der Beredsamkeit“), eine der Sieben Glücksgötter (Shichi Fukujin), benannt.
