Toki ist eine Arbeiterin in der Eisenstadt Tatara Ba. Ihr Vorbild ist ihre Herrin Lady Eboshi, die sie für ihre Stärke schätzt. Gleichzeitig ist sie ihr auch dankbar für die Heimat, die Eboshi ihr geschenkt hat und für die Arbeit, wenn sie auch anstrengend ist. Sie wurde von Eboshi von ihrer Arbeit im Bordell frei gekauft und nimmt seitdem eine Art Führungsposition unter den Arbeiterinnen ein. Toki ist eine sehr resolute Frau, die sich nichts vormachen lässt und genau weiß, was sie will.
