Ai Motomiya zeichnet im Nachtclub Scarab für Kostüm- und Bühnendesign verantwortlich, außerdem macht sie auch Werbung vor der Tür des Clubs, indem sie potentielle Kunden mit ihren offensichtlichen Reizen und frechen Sprüchen in das Etablissement zu locken versucht. Suguru hat es ihr gleich auf den ersten Blick angetan und umso begeisterter ist sie, dass er gekommen ist, um eine Wohnung in dem Gebäude zu beziehen, welches auch den Nachtclub beherbergt. Alsbald sieht sie sich aber in Konkurrenz zu Urara, auf die Suguru anscheinend ein Auge geworfen hat und versucht mit besonders aggressivem Balzverhalten ihn dazu zu bringen, sich in sie zu verlieben. Sie hegt zwar keinen Groll gegen Urara, im Gegenteil, aber Suguru will sie ganz für sich alleine haben. Neben ihrem Körper setzt sie auch ihre Kochkünste als Entscheidungshilfe für Suguru ein, ein weiterer Vorteil, den sie gegenüber Urara für sich proklamiert - neben der Tatsache, die sie ständig betont, nämlich dass sie die größte Oberweite aller Bewohnerinnen des Hauses besitzt.
