Franco ist ein smarter junger Mann, der mit der Besitzerin des Restaurants Pink Amigo, Yukiko Stevens, befreundet ist. Er würde gerne mit ihr zusammen die Stadt Gloria verlassen und kann nicht verstehen, warum sie weiterhin an diesem Ort bleiben möchte, vor allem nicht, warum sie sich noch mit den vier Helden der Vergangenheit, Nero, Jose, Barrio und Carlos abgibt, die er nur als Trunkenbolde und Schwätzer betrachtet. Er gehört damit zu der neuen Generation, die die Heldentaten der alten Recken nicht mehr zu schätzen wissen, schlicht deswegen, weil sie sie nur aus Geschichten kennen, die aus dem Mund der Rentner auch nicht unbedingt glaubwürdig klingen.
