Dieser ältere Mann unterhält sich auf einem kleinen Boot, mit dem er den Fluss überquert, mit dem Mushishi Ginko. Zwar freut er sich, dass das Wetter momentan so schön ist, meckert allerdings auch darüber dass seine Frau nun so lange schläft und seit kurzem des Öfteren etwas vergisst - was sogar schon mal soweit ging, dass sie ihren Sprössling beim Einkaufen vergessen hatte. Ginko beruhigt ihn aber gleich dass alles in Ordnung sei, halt ein normaler Altersprozess und gibt ihm noch ein Mittelchen gegen das laute Schnarchen seiner Frau.
