Tony Stone ist der Besitzer des berühmten Casinos Melanie Square. Im Gegensatz zu den anderen Casinos in Los Angeles betreibt Tony allerdings keine krummen Geschäfte und hält sich so wie fern wie möglich von der ominösen Organisation. Nicht nur wegen dieser Widerstandsfähigkeit wird Tony im Casino hoch angesehen, sondern auch wegen seiner schon fast familiären Beziehung zu seinen Angestellten. Das liegt z.T. daran, dass Tony selbst eine Familie hat, die aus seiner Frau und seinem Sohn Duke Stone besteht. Besonders seinem Sohn Duke möchte er ein normales Leben ermöglichen.
