Der Chefarzt des Technologieparks ist hauptverantwortlich für die Entwicklung der kybernetischen und künstlichen Körperteile, die den Mädchen implantiert werden. Er besitzt eine sehr kühle nüchterne Art und ist einzig auf seine Arbeit fixiert. Eine gewisse emotionale Bindung zu den Mädchen, vermisst man bei ihm in jeglicher Form, Marcello sieht in ihnen vielmehr einen Gegenstand bzw. die neueste Form einer modernen Waffe. Nach dem Tod von Ravallo beruht sein Handeln, mit dem er Claes vor der Ausrangierung bewahrt auch nicht auf Mitleid oder reiner Nächstenliebe, sondern erkennt er vielmehr ihre Nützlichkeit als Testobjekt, um die Leistungsfähigkeit der Implantate und Prothesen zu testen und dadurch zu verfeinern bzw. zu verbessern.
