Mitsuko Takemoto ist die Mutter von Yuuta und arbeitet schon seit vielen Jahren als Krankenschwester in einer Klinik. Sie ist eine ziemlich starke Frau, die sich trotz des frühen Verlustes ihres Ehemannes nicht unterkriegen ließ und zum Wohl ihres Sohn in den schweren Zeiten nie aufgab. Sie ist wie eine typische Mutter stets um ihren Sohn besorgt und möchte immer nur das Beste für ihn. Da Yuuta sie nur selten besucht, fühlt sie sich gelegentlich vereinsamt, aber ihr neuer Ehemann Kazou schafft es immer wieder, sie durch seine fröhliche Art aufzumuntern.
