Hinako Mochida ist eine Grundschülerin, die aber gerne schon erwachsen sein möchte. Sie ist in Shuusuke verliebt und zeigt dies auch offen. Um ihm zu gefallen möchte sie verzweifelt kochen lernen, doch ihre Kochkünste sind weit mehr als unterentwickelt.

Dadurch, dass sie immer so tut als ob sie erwachsen wäre, belächeln manche Menschen sie und ärgern sie. Es wird aber oft deutlich, dass sie noch ein Kind ist, da sie sich manchmal sehr kindlich benimmt und dies auch allen auffällt.
Wenn sie sich im Restaurant zum Beispiel einen Kinderteller bestellt und vor Scham dann sehr rot wird wenn man sie dabei beobachtet. Auch ihr Plüschtier-Fimmel trägt dazu bei, dass man sie immer noch als Kind betrachtet.

Hinako ist aber trotz allem eine verspielte und lebenslustige Person, die von ihren Freunden sehr gemocht wird.
