Kanjis kleine Schwester Keiko wählt ihre Männer nur nach dem Aussehen. Überschminkt und im Kogal-Stil gekleidet bittet sie ihren Bruder um etwas Geld, trifft dabei auf Kousaka und verliebt sich sofort in ihn. Der Konflikt mit Saki ist vorprogrammiert, auch wenn die beiden sich in ihrer Abneigung gegenüber Otakus gut verstehen. Keiko versucht sich kurze Zeit darin, selbst Otaku zu werden, indem sie ihren Bruder und Genshiken belagert, um Kousaka näher zu kommen. Doch so richtig klappt das nicht, denn wie Saki ihr erklärt: »Man wird kein Otaku. Man ist einfach einer, bevor man es weiß.«
