Nachdem Ogiue sich mit dem Manga-Club zerstritten hat, kommt sie zu Genshiken, und das, obwohl sie Otakus abgrundtief hasst - vor allem weibliche. Warum nur? Natürlich, weil sie selbst ein absoluter Otaku ist, mit Vorliebe für Yaoi. Sie zeichnet auch selbst für Genshiken, vor allem ihre eigenen Yoai Doujins, in denen sie ihre Fantasien über Madarame und Sasahara auslebt.
Allerdings schämt sich Ogiue ihres Otaku-Seins ungemein, sodass sie zur Comiket verkleidet kommt und auch sonst alles versucht, dass ihre Vorlieben niemandem auffallen. Sie sieht sehr schlecht, trägt aber normalerweise Kontaktlinsen, so dass das nicht auffällt.

Randnotiz:
Im Originalton spricht Ogiue, wenn sie nicht formales Japanisch spricht, einen Tohoku-Dialekt.
