Ayumi Hizuki, ein liebenswertes, häuslich veranlagtes Mädchen, ist die Mittlere der drei Geschwister, unter denen Naoto Rindou die Mutter seines zukünftigen Kindes auswählen soll. Trotz anfänglicher Schüchternheit fühlt sie sich zu ihm hingezogen, allerdings überkommt Naoto gelegentlich eine Art Wahn, wenn sie beide zusammen sind, in dem er sie für seine verstorbene Verlobte Suzune hält. Das rührt daher, weil Ayumi im Besitz eines Ringes ist, den Naoto Suzune schenkte, als beide noch Kinder waren und der jetzt ihre Seele noch an diese Welt bindet, obwohl sie bereits tot ist.
