Mepple ist der Partner von Cure Black und unterstützt sie im Kampf mit Ratschlägen. Im Alltag jedoch erweist sich Mepple als nervend, denn er isst sehr viel und neigt dazu, sehr direkt zu Nagisa zu sein. Seine schmeichelnden, nicht ernst zu nehmenden Kommentare dienen oftmals nur dazu, Nagisa zu beeinflussen, die zudem ständig darauf reinfällt. Außerdem ist er in Mipple verliebt und bringt seine Anziehung zu ihr laufend zum Ausdruck. Mepple kann sich in ein Handy verwandeln, um in der Menschenwelt nicht aufzufallen und um Energie zu sparen, da seine normale Form im Regenbogengarten mit Energieverbrauch verbunden ist. Seine Sätze enden immer mit »mepo«.

Ursprünglich kam er aus dem Garten des Lichts, wo er mit Mipple lebte. Allerdings fiel die Dutsuko-Zone über den Garten her und so wurden Mepple und Mipple gezwungen zu fliehen. Von der Königin erhielten sie den Auftrag, alle sieben Prismasteine mithilfe von Pretty Cure zu sammeln, von denen sich zwei bereits in ihrem Besitz befinden, nämlich im Schwanz von Mepple und Mipple.
