Sakuma ist Kenji Koisos bester Freund. Gemeinsam sitzen die beiden die meiste Zeit vor dem Computer und arbeiten mit ihren Avataren in der virtuellen Welt Oz. Ebenso wie Kenji ist auch Sakuma über beide Ohren in Natsuki Shinohara verknallt und beneidet ihn ein wenig darum, dass er sie aufs Land begleiten durfte. Als durch die in Oz wütende K.I.
