Minori besucht an der High School genau wie Ryuuji Takasu, Yuusaku Kitamura und ihre beste Freundin Taiga Aisaka die Klasse 2-C. Ihre Persönlichkeit ist der von Taiga komplett entgegen gesetzt: Minori, die oft mit dem Spitznamen »Minorin« gerufen wird, ist immer fröhlich und energiegeladen.

Sie ist sehr sportlich und Kapitänin des Schul-Softball-Teams, geht aber auch zahlreichen Nebenjobs nach, so dass sie quasi ständig unter Dampf steht. Beim Essen langt sie richtig zu (sie liebt scharfe Gerichte), bezeichnet sich aber gleichzeitig als »Diät-Kriegerin«, die auf ihre Linie achtet. Wenn man sich ihre schlanke Figur anschaut, ist es wahrscheinlich, dass sie alleine durch ihre Hyperaktivität genug Kalorien verbrennt um kein Fett anzusetzen.

Minori singt gerne laut und falsch und neigt zu übertriebenen Gesten und einer energischen Gangart (sieht man recht gut im Vorspann). Sie verfügt aber auch über eine gute Menschenkenntnis, die man ihr auf den ersten Blick kaum zutraut.
