Marvelous Inc.

Marvelous Inc. is a Japanese company specialising not only in anime but also producing video games and music. The headquarters are in Shinagawa. Originally, the company was founded on the 25th June 1997 by Haruki Nakayama under the name Marvelous Entertainment Inc.

On the 1st October 2011, the company was united with the companies AQ Interactive and Liveware and renamed Marvelous AQL Inc. The company was once more renamed on the 1st July 2014 with the shortening of the name to Marvelous Inc.

In the beginning of April 2015, Marvelous bought up the remains of Artland Incs., integrating them in the subsidiary G-mode. Thus, the initial Artland stopped to exist. The successor company, Animation Studio Artland Inc., existing since 2010 was not affected by the purchase.

Am 1. Oktober 2011 wurde das Unternehmen mit den Unternehmen AQ Interactive und Liveware zusammengeschossen und in Marvelous AQL Inc. umbenannt. Eine erneute Umbenennung fand dann am 1. Juli 2014 statt, als der Name auf Marvelous Inc. gekürzt wurde.

Anfang April 2015 wurden die Überreste Artland Incs. von Marvelous aufgekauft, wobei diese in das Tochterunternehmen G-mode integriert wurden. Somit hörte das ursprüngliche Artland auf zu existieren. Das seit 2010 existierende Nachfolger-Unternehmen Animation Studio Artland Inc. war von diesem Kauf nicht betroffen.
