Akuma wurde 2002 gegründet und war ein Label des Verlagshaus SEEBD.

Das Label wurde gestartet, nachdem das Labe BD Erogène gestoppt wurde. Im Jahr 2004 entschied man sich das Label einzustellen und das Label Kabuto zu lancieren.

Der Verlag SEEBD ging im Juli 2008 bankrott.
