Das Königreich von Gulba ist gequält von Leuten, die gegen den jungen Prinzen rebellieren. Eine besondere Gruppe von Wächtern ist entstanden, die das Reich vor den Rebellen schützen. Diese Gruppe wird von Captain Carla, einer Bestienzähmerin, geführt. Ihre »Bestie« ist groß, gut aussehend und heißt Hazel. Er ist ihr Bodyguard und die einzige Person, der sie vertrauen kann. Sie schwor, den Tod ihres Vaters zu rächen. Seitdem hat Carla hart trainiert, um ihr Ziel zu erreichen. Die Rebellen haben ihre Angriffe intensiviert und es stellt sich heraus, dass es einen Verräter zwischen ihnen gibt. Kann sie Hazel wirklich vertrauen, wenn er plötzlich anfängt, sich seltsam zu verhalten?!
