Der Manga ist eine Adaption des 1915 erschienen Romans „Anne in Kingsport“ von Lucy Maud Montgomery und ist der dritte Band in der „Anne auf Green Gables“-Reihe und gibt die Lebensjahre 18-22 der Anne Shirley wieder.

Anne verlässt Green Gables und beendet ihre Arbeit als Lehrerin in Avonlea, um am Redmond College in Nova Scotia ihre Schulausbildung wieder aufzunehmen. Sie lässt die Erlebnisse in Avonlea hinter sich und macht nun eigene und so manche überraschende Erfahrungen... dazu zählen auch ein Heiratsantrag vom denkbar schlechtesten Burschen, dem Verkauf ihrer ersten Geschichte und eine schmerzvolle, aber lehrreiche Tragödie.
