Nach einem Streit mit ihrer Mutter packt die 17-jährige Julie kurzerhand ihre Koffer und fährt zu ihrem Vater nach Tokyo, der über ihren Besuch total überrascht ist. Unter der Bedingung, dass sie Japanisch lernt, darf sie für zwei Monate bei ihm bleiben. Wird es Julie gelingen, sich ein neues Leben in Japan aufzubauen, und sie dort vielleicht sogar ihre große Liebe finden?

Résumé:
Suite à une dispute avec sa mère en France, Julie Wallon trouve refuge au Japon, chez son père, Jean-Raymond Wallon, qu’elle connaît peu. En effet, il s’est séparé de la mère de Julie, il y a plus de dix ans et s’est exilé dans la foulée au pays du Soleil levant. Elle ne le connaît que par photos et conversations téléphoniques. Julie débarque donc à Tokyo avec un regard ingénu et utopique. Elle ne connaît de l’archipel que ce qu’elle en a lu dans les mangas et vu à la T.V. Une fois le contact (difficile) rétabli avec son géniteur, le premier défi pour Julie sera l’apprentissage de la langue...
