Kouno Jun ist ein lebensfroher Mensch, der sein Leben mit all seiner Kraft lebt. Im Kindergarten verliebte er sich in das schönste Mädchen seiner Klasse, Hasebe Rino. Er gesteht ihr seine Liebe und Hasebe akzeptiert seine Gefühle, doch in dem Moment, in dem sie antworten will, verschwindet sie. Kouno befragt seine Freunde über Hasebe und findet dabei heraus, dass sich kein einziger von ihnen auch nur an eine Kleinigkeit von ihr erinnert. Sie ist einfach verschwunden, mit allen Erinnerungen über sie, außer denen von Kouno.

Während Kouno ein lustloses und verzweifeltes Highschool-Leben führt, taucht Hasebe als Austauschschülerin wieder auf, doch sie scheint nicht dieselbe zu sein, die Kouno aus seiner Kindheit kennt.
