Zetman (2002)

Jin, a mysterious kid with a halo carved in his hand, and extraordinary fighting skills, lives with his grandfather in a beggar’s community. In other place, the old scientist Amagi is searching for professor Kanzaki, to ask him for the whereabouts of the "player" -a kind of genetic altered humans- Zet, which they created some years ago. Soon, Jin and his grandfather are attacked by a mysterious man who turns into a monster. The connection between professor Amagi and professor Kanzaki, seems to connect also young Jin to the mystery of the "players", and Zet.

Die Geschichte handelt von zwei grundverschiedenen Männern: Jin Kanzaki, der in den Slums aufgewachsen ist und sich in den Übermenschen ZET verwandeln kann, und Kouga Amagi, Sohn eines mächtigen Unternehmers, der davon träumt, als Superheld gegen das Böse zu kämpfen. Die Wege der beiden kreuzen sich im Kampf gegen die sogenannten Player, also Monster, die von Amagi Corporation selber erschaffen wurden.

Una extraña marca circular en el dorso de la mano de Jin coincide con la que tiene un misterioso de grandes poderes llamado ZET. Jin tiene agilidad y fuerza sobrehumanas, que utiliza para hacer justicia, pero que a veces no puede controlar cuando se enfada... Sumémosle a esta particular mezcla un oscuro pasado: Su padre adoptivo, cuyas aventuras iremos descubriendo entremezcladas con las de Jin, murió a manos de un monstruo.
Con cierto regusto a las más interesantes historias de Batman, éste es un gran manga que homenajea a un gran cómic: Éxito seguro.
