Todo comienza cuando una niña, Yumi es salvada de ser atropellada por un prestidigitador, Toru, con una carrera muy prometedora por delante. A raíz de este suceso, Toru se lesiona en una mano truncando así su sueño de ir a Hollywood. Pasados ocho años desde lo ocurrido, los dos se reencuentran, Toru en un vulgar delincuente y Yumi recién licenciada en la Escuela de Policía.
