Der Manga dreht sich um die 30 Jahre alte Büroangestellte Kie Hirano, welche über eine umfangreiche Phantasie verfügt. Eines Tages lernt Kie einen gut aussehenden Kollegen namens Mitsumasa Koudai kennen, der hinzukommend ein Telepath ist, welcher die Gedanken anderer lesen kann. Mitsumasa ist von Kies Persönlichkeit so verzaubert, dass er mit ihr eine Beziehung beginnt. Seine Mutter Yuuko jedoch verurteilt Kie, nicht die richtige Frau für ihren Sohn zu sein. Das Familienoberhaupt Ann bringt sie allerdings dazu, ihre Aussage zurückzunehmen. So fängt Ann an, Kie beizubringen, wie man eine anständige Dame ist und damit verflechtet sich Kies Leben nun auch mit der Familie Koudai.
