Code Geass: Suzaku of the Counterattack erzählt die Handlung der Hauptserie aus der Sichtweise von Suzaku.

Am 10. August 2010 fiel das Königreich Britannia in Japan ein. Ein furchtbarer Krieg entbrannte, den Japan wegen der von Britannia entwickelten Mechas, den Knightmare Frames, verlor. Japan verlor seine Freiheit wie Rechte und wurde als Teil Britannias in Area 11 umbenannt.

Sieben Jahre nach dem Krieg dient Suzaku als Soldat in der britannischen Armee und gehört zu den sogenannten „Britanniern ehrenhalber“. Während sein Kindheitsfreund Lelouch erste Rebellionen gegen das Königreich führt, erhält Suzaku durch Zufall die Chance, im Auftrag des Wissenschaftlers Lloyd Asplund den einzigartigen Knighmare Frame Lancelot auf dem Schlachtfeld zu testen. Da er allein den Mecha nahezu perfekt beherrscht, bekommt Suzaku schließlich den Posten als Pilot. Schon bald häufen sich seine Einsätze, ohne dass er vom Treiben seines teuren Freundes ahnt.

El imperio de Brittania invadió Japón usando robots gigantes denominados Knightmare Frames. Japón pasó a ser denominado como Área 11 y sus habitantes, los elevens. Un brittanico que en ese entonces vivía en Japón, Lelouch, le jura a su amigo Suzaku que él destruiría Brittania. Este nuevo manga de sólo dos tomos cuenta la misma historia de “Lelouch, el de la Rebelión” pero desde el punto de vista de Suzaku.
