Der junge Arzt Sangmin geht als freiwilliger Helfer nach Nepal und trifft dort auf den Straßen des Rotlichtviertels die ehemalige Kumari („lebende Göttin“) Sita. Beide verlieben sich ineinander und wollen in Korea ein neues Leben beginnen. Doch das Glück des Paares ist nur von kurzer Dauer. Sita wird todkrank und stirbt schließlich daran. In seiner Trauer und Verzweiflung über ihren Verlust reist Sangmin erneut nach Nepal, wo er schließlich die Chance erhält, das Rad der Zeit zurückzudrehen und seine geliebte Sita zu retten.
