En un futuro no muy lejano, lo que queda de la raza humana se esfuerza por sobrevivir. El planeta ha quedado arrasado por el cambio climático, archipiélagos como Japón han desaparecido bajo las aguas y grandes potencias como los Estados Unidos han perdido la batalla contra la desertización. Lo único bueno es que la guerra ha desaparecido, pero la lucha contra el crimen se ha convertido en una obsesión para los escasos habitantes del planeta. Lamentablemente, la naturaleza humana no ha cambiado, y hay quien manipula los sucesos para que se adapten a sus necesidades, hasta el punto de orquestar un atentado terrorista con el objetivo de deshacerse de unos súpersoldados descontrolados...

Il riscaldamento della superficie terrestre ha causato irrimediabili catastrofi: la popolazione mondiale è stata decimata, il Giappone è scomparso, annientato dai terremoti, e gli Stati Uniti sono stati inghiottiti da un cataclisma vulcanico. Al loro posto ora si estende solo vuoto e desolazione. Unico "beneficio" di questa drammatica successione di eventi è che anche la guerra non esiste più, o meglio: è un altro l’obiettivo per cui si combatte: contrastare la ferocia di una natura incontrollabile. Cosa ne sarà di Seoul, perciò, dopo la misteriosa esplosione che la devasta in pieno centro?
