Umi no Aria ist ein Science-Fiction-Manga von Moto Hagio, dessen Leitmotiv der ökologische Erhalt der Erde ist.

Colin konnte nur hilflos zusehen, als sein Bruder, Abel, ein beliebter und begabter Schüler, während eines ungewöhnlichen Sturmes im Meer ertrank. Als Abel aus dem Meer zurückkehrt, ist Colin erleichtert und glücklich, muss jedoch zu seinem Entsetzen feststellen, dass Abel nicht sein Bruder ist, sondern eine außerirdische Lebensform, die Besitz vom toten Körper seines Bruders ergriffen hat und seinen Charakter vollkommen verkehrte. Dunkle Geheimnisse über den realen Abel kommen zum Vorschein, was noch weiter verschärft wird durch den Umstand, dass das Alien empfänglich für das musikalische Talent ihres neuen, mysteriösen Musiklehrers ist.
