El protagonista absoluto es el tranquilo Akira Ijuin, que nos muestra su lado oculto como ladrón de guante blanco. También asistimos al inicio de su historia de amor con Utako Okawa, una rica heredera que es casi tan caprichosa como sus madres (sí, tiene dos). Su nombre de guerra es Misterioso Mil caras y acostumbra a dejar notas a la policía anunciando lo que robará. Aunque en este manga, además de robarle su regalo de cumpleaños a Utako, también le robará el corazón.
