Using her gifts, Misaki is able to help troubled departed spirits resolve what is troubling them and allow them to move on to the afterlife. Die Protagonistin von Teizokurei Daydream ist die Jungfrau Saiki Misaki. Sie ist ein Albino und hat zurzeit zwei Jobs, mit denen sie nicht wirklich glücklich ist: Einmal arbeitet sie als Domina in einem BDSM-Club und schreibt eine Kolumne für ein Pornomagazin und in ihrem anderen Job arbeitet sie als Nekromantin für die Regierung da sie fähig ist, Geister wahrzunehmen und mit ihnen zu kommunizieren. In der Regel läuft dieser Job meist auf einen Exorzismus hinaus und Misaki findet diesen Job noch geschmackloser und weniger respektabel als ihre andere Arbeit.
