Shinobu Kobayashi muss auf eine neue Schule wechseln. Als ob das alleine nicht schon schlimm genug wäre, macht ihr Freund auch noch kurz vor ihrem ersten Schultag auf der neuen Highschool per SMS mit ihr Schluss. Völlig am Boden zerstört, will sie ihr Handy in einen Fluss werfen und trifft so auf einen jungen Mann, der sofort hinterher springen will und sie anschreit, wie sie darauf käme, es in einen Fluss zu werfen. Überraschenderweise spricht er sie wie selbstverständlich mit ihrem Namen an. Shinobu bekommt es mit der Angst zu tun und will davonlaufen. Doch es scheint, dass sie ihn nicht allzu schnell loswerden wird, denn er heißt Taichi Yamazaki und ist ihr neuer Lehrer!
