Der Manhwa Archlord basiert auf dem gleichnamigen PC-Game Archlord, das im Herbst 2006 bei Codemasters erschienen ist.

En un lugar conocido como Chantra, se está llevando a cabo una guerra que lleva ya más de cien años. El motivo: asumir el control de cinco reliquias, conocidas como Archons, ya que quien las posea se convertira en Archlord. La historia sigue los pasos de Zian por salir victorioso de esta batalla. Archlord está basado en uno de los MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) más populares hoy día en internet.

Il Continente di Kantra è sconvolto dalla guerra tra il Clan degli Umani ed il Clan degli Orchi. La saga epica di ARCHLORD inizia quando Leon, cavaliere della leggendaria spada Brumhardt, decide di fare visita al vecchio maestro Kenneth, al quale chiede consiglio per dare un nome al suo primogenito. Purtroppo Leon cade vittima di un’imboscata e, prima di morire, affida il figlio a Kenneth. Sedici anni dopo Xian (il figlio di Leon) cerca di seguire le orme del padre, addestrandosi insieme all’amico orco Ugdrasil.
