Die Legende spricht von sieben Helden. Jeder dieser Helden besitzt die Kraft eines Sterns des Großen Wagens (Big Dipper). Zwei dieser Sterne sind immer in Konflikt, bestimmt sich zu bekämpfen und die Welt in Chaos zu stürzen...

Nicht dass Taitou diesen alten Geschichten je viel Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt hätte. Eigensinnig und trotzig, ist er der Letzte, der seine Coming-of-Age-Zeremonie vollendet und deswegen von seiner Schwester Laila regelmäßig aufgezogen wird. Als er für würdig befunden wird, erhält er das alte Schwert „Kenka Ranbu“, welches nur von einem wahren Helden gezogen werden kann. Als der frustrierte Taitou vergeblich versucht das Schwert zu ziehen, taucht ein mysteriöser Dieb auf und macht sich mit einem Zitat zu dieser Legende und mit dem Schwert davon. Die Sterne haben sich in Bewegung gesetzt, als Taitou aufbricht das Kenka Ranbu und seine eigene Bestimmung zu finden.

La historia está protagonizada por dos hermanos, Laila y Taitou, dos jovenes que odian al Imperio y que se verán envueltos en una aventura para recuperar el legado de su familia que ha sido robado: una espada. Lo que no saben es que Taitou es la reencarnación de una estrella, y que por ello, posee un gran poder aun sin dominar.

In Hero Tales verremo trasportati nell’antica Cina e nelle sue leggende vecchie di secoli. Si narra infatti che esistano sette eroi collegati alle sette stelle dell’Orsa Maggiore e che due di essi siano destinati a scontrarsi per il dominio della Terra. Una di queste due è rinchiusa dentro il giovane Taito, un ragazzo che ancora non conosce l’enorme potere che ha in sé. Ma l’improvviso attacco di uno strano personaggio cambierà per sempre la sua vita e lo costringerà a mettersi in viaggio per recuperare una cosa preziosa a lui rubata. Inizia così la sua avventura che lo porterà attraverso l’enorme Cina!
